James Vickery has teamed with Musiq Soulchild to drop his silky-smooth new single, ‘Come To Me’. The track is a creative piece of R&B that fills the stereo field with layers of vocal harmonies, punchy drums and washy guitar chords. The call and response of the conclusion harks back to the Motown era, while the bouncy creativity littered throughout connects to modern artists like Anderson .paak. ‘Come To Me’ will be a part of his debut album (dropping later this year), with Vickery explaining that his goal is “to create a timeless body of work. In order to do that I need to pay homage to the greats. I would not be the singer or artist I am today had it not been for Musiq Soulchild. Having him help share my story of my own fleeting and desperate short-lived romance almost feels like a dream.” -Dan Peeke
